CRAP!!! Fake nails problem?

Okay so I bought fake nails that last only a week but they are pretty good quality I guess. They've popped off a few times because I didn't use enough glue. It's the 7th day and even though the package said don't bend or break the nails, I already popped off all but 4 because they were about to fall off anyway. The directions for removing them say soak in acetone polish remover, but all I have is NON-acetone!! I don't have time to go to the store. Is acetone extremely important or will non-acetone do the job?? thanks!
