My 2 and 3yr old daughters found nailpolish and colored each other. What will take it off without harming them?

I didn't leave it just lying around. They climbed a bookshelf to get to it. I was feeding my infant son when I realized they were very quiet. The nail polish is all over the carpet, the bed and their skin. I tried acetone free remover on the skin and they freaked out. I'm not so worried about the floor and bed as much. But if you know how to get it off those that would be helpful too.
