Why are ECP's still recommending Polycarbonate?

Trivex is a great material but more costly than Poly. Many progressive lens designs are not available in Trivex. Some labs don't have a lot of experience with Trivex and have trouble finishing the edges in a way that looks good. The poly that is available now is not the same poly that was available 40 years ago so calling it 40 year old technology is not exactly fair.
