How do you remove glitter toes?!?

They aren't the homemade glitter toes, they were done by a woman who I believe is a professional and I've tried everything to get them off. I've filed them down, and used pure acetone. A manicurist tried to get them off with acetone too but they will not come off! Does anyone know how to remove them without nail damage?
