My tattoo is completely peeling. Help?

I know tattoo peeling is normal, but the black shading of the tattoo I just got 3 days ago is peeling off completely. I called the shop and they said to wait a few weeks to let it heal and they would touch it up. I just want to know if this is normal. Is this due to faulty tattooing or is this natural? This didn't happen with my other tattoo but it wasn't as large. Any advice?
